Description:
A sepia tone carte-de-visite of a gentleman in a white topper coat. Captured standing with his arms crossed, a dark-haired man with moustache and beard poses for his portrait wearing a dark bowtie, thigh length textured coat, black trousers and dress shoes. He is flanked by a curtain prop, plain wall, and elaborately carved wooden chair. On the reverse of the carte-de-visite are numerical graphite inscriptions as well as "Jennings" and "(Napa, Calif.)" and a red, two-cent revenue stamp without date or initials.
