Description:
An identification badge for Ira Fields of Company A, Virginia Colored Guards. The badge is copper alloy in a pentagonal star shape. Engraving around the edge of the badge reads [Ira / Fields / Va. / Colored / Guards] with [Co. A] appearing at center. There is a decorative border around the center and along the wide side of each section. Hinged pin on the back slides into fastener. There are no marks on the back.
