A group of five (5) journalist passes from the 2012 Democratic National Convention owned by Jim Vance. The passes are connected to a white lanyard with a metal clip (2018.107.13a) . The first pass (2018.107.13b) is orange with white text and an illustration of a crowd at center. Orange text above the image says “THURSDAY” The text at the top of the badge reads “American Changing Together September 6, 2012.” Text at the bottom of the badge reads “STADIUM PRESS.” The back of the pass features a black and white image and a description of the August 28, 1963 speech given by Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Lincoln Memorial. The second pass (2018.107.13c) is orange with white text and an illustration of a crowd at center. Orange text above the image says “TUES-WED” The text at the top of the badge reads “American Changing Together September 4-5, 2012.” Text at the bottom of the badge reads “ARENA PRESS.” The back of the pass features a black and white image and a description of the August 28, 1963 speech given by Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Lincoln Memorial. The third badge (2018.107.13d) is blue and grey with dark blue and white text. Text at the top of the badge says “DEMOCRATIC / NATIONAL / CONVENTION” next to a donkey.
