A black and white photographic portrait of the artist Benny Andrews. Andrews is pictured sitting in a high-backed chair, wearing a shawl-collar cardigan sweater over a striped shirt. He sits with his right arm bent, elbow on the chair's arm rest, hand raised to his face, with fingers touching his temple. A large potted plant is visible next to him, with a large frond partially obscuring Andrews. In the background, a painted portrait and other framed artworks are visible on the wall behind him. The photographer's signature is on the back of the print, along with the title and date.
