Sheila Pree Bright is best recognized for crafting compelling images that examine the meaning of Americanism and democracy. A black-and-white photograph taken at a Black Lives Matter rally in Ferguson, Missouri. A group of people are walking together down a city street. At center of the photograph are three (3) young children, two girls and a boy, carrying placards. All three children's placards read: ""We Can't Stop Now" / Join Us / National March / In Ferguson / March 20 - 21, 2015 / [illegible]", and the placard held by the girl at proper left has an additional handwritten sign attached to the handle that reads: "YOUNG / BLACK / LIVE [sic] / MATTER." Behind the children at the proper left, other children are carrying a ceremonial protest white coffin with a wreath of flowers on top.
