A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of a man standing in front of two NAACP banners during the twentieth anniversary of the March on Washington, August 27, 1983. The man is centrally depicted, standing in profile with his head lifted and arms raised. He is wearing a white T-shirt and medium toned shorts. Behind him is a large crowd of people standing behind two banners that stretch across the foreground. The banner on the left side of the image reads [NAACP / GREENSBURG-JEANNETTE P[A] / BRANCH] above and below the NAACP seal. The banner on the right side of the image reads [NAACP / [MON]ONGAHELA VALL[EY] / BRANCH] above and below the NAACP seal.
On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide the image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also two (2) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
