Description:
A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of the Rev. Jesse Jackson standing in front of the Lincoln Memorial during the twentieth anniversary of the March on Washington, August 27, 1983. Jackson is depicted from the shoulders up facing the viewer. He is looking towards the right side of the image. Jackson is wearing a dark button down shirt with decorative epaulettes on each shoulder secured with buttons near the collar. Behind him on the right is a statue of a seated Abraham Lincoln.
On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide the image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also two (2) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
