A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of a woman participating in the March on Washington, August 28, 1963. The woman is centrally depicted wearing a white blouse and a medium toned side cap. She is facing the left side of the image. In the foreground is a close up of a pair of hands. Behind the woman are three (3) men and a partially visible protest sign that reads [WE / MARCH / FOR / JOBS FOR ALL / DECENT PAY / NOW!].
On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide the image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also two (2) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
