Description:
A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of a group of participants sitting by the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool during the March on Washington on August 28, 1963. The participants are crowded on the right side of the image along the edge of the Reflecting Pool. Two of the women depicted in the center foreground are wearing kerchiefs over their hair.
On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide the image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also two (2) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
