Description:
A black and white vertical print sheet of (3) photographs. The first two photographs are of Joe Louis and Benjamin O. Davis Jr. The final photograph is of Louis meeting a Tuskegee Airman also named Joe Lewis. In all of the photographs, the men wear light colored military uniforms. The top and center photograph depict Joe Louis and Benjamin O. Davis, Jr. standing outside of a tent drinking coffee. In the top photo, Louis is looking down and in the center photograph, he is looking at the camera. In the bottom photograph, Joe Louis sits in the open cockpit of a plane, while Tuskegee Airman Joe Lewis reaches into the cockpit from the other side, showing Louis the controls. There are no marks or inscriptions, front or back.
