Description:
A broadside for "Image is Everything".
It is a white rectangular piece of paper with black text. The proper right top corner has black silhouettes of the busts of a woman and a man. The woman is in front of the man. Below, in white and grey text with a black outline it reads [Image is/Everything]. Below that there is copyright and contact information for the artist. The proper left top corner reads [This is Who We Are!] in bold letters with a series of statements underneath.
In the middle of the broadside there is a large outline of a triangle. On the outside of the triangle, going down the proper left side, is the word [EMPOWERING]. Inside the triangle there are words and phrases in grey and white letters with black outlines. They are [THINK] (typed vertically), [BE COMMITTED TO], [BE], [HAVE], [KNOW], [GET], and [LEARN TO]. Under each main theme there is a series of bullet pointed words and phrases. One example is [BE/Great• Second to None• Motivated• Black and Proud].
After "Learn To" and the words underneath, there is a thin, vertical black line. Underneath there are lists of Positive Images of Blacks (After Slavery), Great African American Women, Great African American Men, Black Inventions, etc.
The back of the broadside is solid white. The paper is thin and the words and images on the front can be seen from the back.
