This gelatin silver print depicts a black and white image of three soldiers standing on a field of grass in front of several houses. They are dressed in uniforms consisting of light-colored slacks and dress shirts and each have on a brimmed cap. The men to the left and right stand with their hands behind their backs; the man in the center is seated with his forearms resting on his thighs. He holds a document in his hands. All three men are looking at the camera. The homes behind them are a considerable distance away. There is a car infront of the house on the right. On the far right a couple has been captured walking down the street. The print's exposure makes the three men appear much brighter than the rest of the photograph. The photograph has creases approximately 1/2" from the top, bottom, and left edges as if it were to be cropped. On the back of the photograph a capital cursive [S] is written in pencil in the bottom left corner.
