This gelatin silver print depicts a black and white image of a woman, Ernestine, and her infant daughter at a wooden picnic table. Ernestine wears a white t-shirt with graphic print and shorts. She is turned sideways at the table, straddling the bench to look at the camera. Her daughter sits in front of her, also looking at the camera, and wearing a light colored t-shirt, shorts, and sandals. A pacifier is on top of the picnic table. There are no inscriptions, front or back.
