Digital copy of a funeral program for Martin Ruby Colbert. The booklet program has eight pages and is printed in black ink on off-white paper. The front cover text reads [Home Going Celebration / for / MARTIN RUBY / COLBERT / November 24, 1904 - April 14, 1995]. At center is a portrait of Colbert followed by information on the service, which was held at Christ Temple C.M.E. Church. The interior pages begin with a brief obituary with information about Colbert's parents, wife, and his eight children, twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. The following pages have a longer obituary titled [A Part of Oklahoma History / Martin Ruby Colbert], which details his birth in Indian Territory as "a Choctaw Freedman," his childhood in Idabel, Oklahoma, his marriage to Ruthie Mae Green in the historically black settlement of Rentie Grove, and subsequent move to Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a member of Holsey Chapel CME Church in Tulsa and an avid fisherman. He worked at Mann Brothers Grocery. The program ends with the order of service and, on the back cover, a poem entitled "No Tears." At bottom center is information for Jack's Memory Chapel.
