Description:
El Young Lord newspaper, volume 1, number 5 from July 2, 1971. The front cover of the newspaper has a dark plum colored, central rectangle covering the whole of the page. In the lower two-thirds of the cover is a drawn graphic of a profile portrait of Pedro Albizu Campos. The profile is stylized with dark areas and negative spaces creating the contours of the face. In the lower right corner is the artist's signature [ANTHONY]. Above the image in the upper left is black text in Spanish that reads: ["PARA QUITARNOS LA PATRIA / PRIMERO TIENEN QUE QUITARNOS / LA VIDA" / PEDRO ALBIZU CAMPOS / 1890-1965].
