Description:
This black-and-white photograph depicts a man holding a little boy on his right shoulder. The little boy, wearing a zipped-up sweatshirt with the hood up, jeans, and button pin, looks directly at the viewer and drapes his left arm around the man's head. The pin reads "MILLION MAN MARCH / OCTOBER 16, 1995 WASHINGTON, D.C." around the edge and "1 / IN A / MILLION" in the center. The man, wearing sunglasses, a button down shirt and light colored coat holds the boy in place with his left hand on the boy's knee and his right hand supporting the boy's waist.
