Description:
A carte-de-visite on cabinet card depicting an unidentified Buffalo Soldier. Captured in studio against a solid backdrop, the soldier poses seated, wearing a dress uniform jacket with several buttons. The photograph is framed is by its own card stock with an oval focus on the Buffalo Soldier. On the verso is the photographer's mark: [M.T. Jesse, / PHOTOGRAPHER / SAN ANTONIO / TEXAS] and a handwritten inscription reading [Alexander / (illegible)].
