A black and white contact print of an image of Richard W. Howard wearing a New Mexico Track sweatshirt and running shorts. He stands with his arms akimbo and smiles, looking to the right. His middle and ring fingers of his right hand are wrapped in tape. Printed on his sweatshirt in dark letters are the words [NEW MEXICO / TRACK]. "New Mexico" curves in an arch at the top of his shirt with "track" positioned horizontally at his lower sternum. The image itself is in the lower portion of the whole piece of paper. The dimensions of the original image and sheet are clearly visible. Two red crayon arrows were drawn at the top of the sheet. The back of the photograph has a printed date stamped on it in ink.
