Description:
This black and white photograph shows Yolanda King arriving at the first commemorative event on Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday in 1969 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. King can be seen, center, in profile in a solid, knee-length coat holding a white handbag. The striped coat of another individual can be partially seen behind King. There is an unidentified child next to King who is not fully visible. Unidentified crowds are in the background behind a row of parked cars which separate King from the church. The back of the photograph has a manufacturer's mark and printer's inscriptions.
