Description:
An empty envelope owned by midwife Amanda Carey Carter. The outside of the envelope is addressed to "Mrs. Amanda Carter" in Farmville, Virginia, with a return address of "Prince Edw. Health Dept.". There is a postmark dated "Jan 4, 1956" from Farmville, Virginia and a handwritten note in a different ink and hand than the addresses reading [Permit]. There are no marks or inscriptions on the back.
