Description:
A color photograph of a group of women seated at a dinner table at the Rock Rest Tourist Home. The table has been set with creamware bread and butter plates topped with pats of butter, crystal water goblets, wine glasses, silverware, silver salt and pepper shakers, and an orange flower arrangement in a white vase at the center of the table. The six women are seated around the table with their hands in the laps; with two women on each long side of the table, and a woman at each end. The woman at the table end in the foreground is depicted with her back to the viewer. She wears a pink collared jacket and is looking towards the opposite end. The women on the left side of the photograph are depicted in profile. One is partially obscured with only her face visible. The other woman is depicted from the waist up, wearing a dark jacket. Both women are facing towards the right edge of the photograph. The woman at the other end of the table is wearing a peach-toned sweater with a draped neckline. She is looking towards the women on the right. The women on the right are depicted leaning towards each other. The woman on the left wears a blue blouse and black rimmed glasses. The woman on the right wears a green shirt with a white cardigan. In the background is red brick lined fireplace with a white mantle. On the mantle are two matching white vases, two candlesticks, two plates, and a rectangular shaped object at the center. Paintings, plates, and macramé decorate the walls and there is a window with white drapes and a potted plant in the left background. The photograph has been double exposed with two superimposed figures in the bottom right corner. A repeating embedded pattern on the verso reads [THIS PAPER / MANUFACTURED / BY KODAK] and a red stamp along the bottom right edge with the Kodak logo and red text that reads [PRINT / MADE / BY / KODAK / K / AUG 80].
