Smith is depicted from the neck up and she is looking at the viewer. She has short cropped hair, a thick dark sweater, and an earring dangling from her proper right ear. To the left the image is the main cover line in black text that reads [THE / NATURAL / LOOK / New mode / for Negro/ women]. Another byline above in black text reads [ELLIGBLE / BACHELORS / FOR 1966].
