A receipt for payment from Edward Rouzee to Eliza A. Noel for "attendance on negro woman Amy." Below the text to the right is the signature [her / Eliza Noel / x / mark]. Below the text to the left is the signature of witness William Noel. The document is dated December 23, 1823. The document is handwritten in black ink. The paper is torn above, to right, and at the bottom. It has been folded vertically multiple times.
