This document is part of a scrapbook that was compiled in 1956 and 1957 by Frances Albrier during her term as president of the San Francisco Chapter of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW). The scrapbook highlights the Chapter’s efforts to register voters and educate Bay Area residents on the importance of voting as a part of the Citizenship Education Project which was jointly sponsored by the NCNW and the National Urban League.
Description:
A four page, stapled document consisting of typewritten black ink on white paper, adhered to the first page of the scrapbook compiled by Frances Albrier (2010.60.1). The first page of the document lists the committees of the San Francisco Chapter of the National Council of Negro Women for 1956 - 1957. The following pages list the names, addresses, and phone numbers for the members. At the bottom of the last page is an inscription listing the "Council's Activities" as the Citizenship Education Project and "Negro History."
