Description:
Black and white image of Martha Sapp walking near the end of a bed, while in the background, Mary Coley bends down away from the camera. Sapp, standing, wears a terry cloth robe and a head scarf. She is seen in profile with her proper left hand grasping the end of the bed frame. The bed is covered with a square patterned quilt with alternating squares of dark and light. On the table by the bed and tall mirror is a pile of cloths. Behind Sapp, partially obscured, Coley crouches away from the camera. She is wearing a light-colored dress with white cuffs and a white apron. To the left of her, in the lower left corner is a quilt, in an Irish Chain pattern, hanging off of a chair. Above the Coley are curtains surrounding a closed window. In the upper left of the image is a bare, light light bulb.
