Summary:
This thermometer is part of the test equipment kit from the backup Skylab orbital workshop that is displayed in the Museum. Skylab was a U.S. space station launched into low Earth orbit in May 1973. Three different three-man crews occupied the orbital laboratory until February 1974. Skylab was equipped with several tool kits and devices for in-flight maintenance tasks, as well as scientific instruments for a variety of research projects.
Transferred from NASA to the Museum in 1975.
