Summary:
The Lunar Traverse Gravimeter was designed to measure the Moon's gravitational field using a precise accelerometer. While on the Moon, astronauts would move the device to different locations and take readings of the graviational force. The device was covered by a blanket to minimize temperature fluctuations.
This artifact is an unflown example of the blanket, for a Gravimeter that was flown on at least one Apollo mission.
