Fairchild K-37 aerial camera with Kodak Aero-Ektar f: 2.5 f lens, 305 mm.; 4 plug control box attached; lens cone 1ft. 8in. long x 1ft.; gray aluminum housing.
Summary:
This camera, with a between-the-lens shutter, was designed for medium- to high-altitude night reconnaissance. Flares, timed to synchronize with the photography, were dropped to light the target. This particular K-37 was used on a Lockheed U-2 aircraft.
