Summary:
This is the main upper control section from the Gemini center instrument panel. The entire center instrument panel contained displays and controls for communications, environmental conditions, and the electric-sequential system. The command pilot, who sat in the left seat, had overall control of the spacecraft. Some of the gauges, dials, and switches are missing from this panel. It was installed in static article #5, a capsule that was used several times for astronaut egress training in Galveston Bay or the Gulf of Mexico.
McDonnell Aircraft made this artifact and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration transferred it to NASM in 1970.
