A white crescent of unprinted paper represents the moon in the darkening sky over a hilly residential neighborhood in Kobe, a major port located on Osaka Bay. Against the dominant tones of blue, gray, and black, carefully graded reddish colors represent lamplight in the houses and the last faint glow of the setting sun reflected from the clouds. This print was one of three landscapes designed by Goyo in January of 1920.
