Description:
Page of calligraphy from the Late Shahjahan Album; left-hand half of a double-page composition; Persian in black nasta'liq script; one column; six lines of text; attributed to Mir Ali.
Border: The couplets are set in horizontal rectangles in an illuminated page; the page is set in gold and white rulings in an inner frame with a turquoise floral scroll, and an outer frame with cartouches and quatrefoils motifs, mounted on a brown-colored paperboard of floral cartouches.
