Description:
Shape: Shard is a round, thin, iron-brown glazed disk which apparently served as the lid for a small ceramic container. Wheel-thrown. The knob of the lid is missing. A section of the rim base has also chipped off. The thickness of the main portion of the lid is approximately 0.5 cm.
Clay: The body is a fine pinkish-orange clay with moderate inclusions.
Glaze: The glaze is caramel colored and appears principally around the base of the knob.
Decoration: None.
Marks: None.
