Description:
Shape: Fragment of the neck and mouth of a stoneware jar. Wheel thrown. The jar was double-mouthed with one mouth opening into the body of the jar and a second, exterior mouth forming a surrounding trough. The exterior mouth section appears to have been luted onto the principal neck of the jar.
Clay: The 0.4 - 0.6 cm thick walls of the jar are of a coarse gray clay having many black inclusions and air pockets.
Glaze: Dark iron-brown.
Decoration: None.
Marks: None.
