Description:
Bowl. Open form; minimal footrim; slightly concave bottom. Wheel-thrown then shaped over drape mold.
Clay: translucent porcelain. White under glaze; orange-toned where exposed on unglazed rim, foot, and bottom.
Glaze: translucent, radiant turquoise blue, deeper where thicker.
Decoration: emphatic groove around central roundel and six fluting lines on interior walls formed by use of drape mold. In bottom, design of paired fish incised using blunt-edged and comb-like tools.
With a brown fabric covered box and a wooden stand.
