Description:
The palest tints of transluscent color and ink create an ethereal image of a full moon in a misty atmosphere. Slender fronds of pampas grass (susuki) and a clump of chrysanthemums sway toward the right as if blown by a slight breeze. The yellow color of chrysanthemum blossoms is the slightest tint, and the contours of the blossoms is the contour of the blossoms are blurred rather than delineated. The green tones of leaves are muted by a greys of ink. The mist is represented by washes of gold and gives a shimmering, decorative effect.
