Stoneware with white and black inlays under celadon glaze
H x W: 8.1 x 20 cm (3 3/16 x 7 7/8 in)
Gangjin or Buan kilns, Jeolla-do province, Korea
first half of 13th century
Goryeo period
Bowl, broad ovoid; low, solid foot; three spur-marks.
Clay: hard, grayish.
Glaze: brilliant greenish-gray celadon; crackled.
Decoration: inlaid in white and black under glaze; inside, chrysanthemum medallion, four fruited sprays, scroll border, all in white only; outside, four peony medallions in foliate ground, floral scroll border, in white and black.

During the summer, the company also maintained seasonal locations in Newport, Bar Harbor, and Atlantic City.
