Yixing, Jiangsu province, China
Qing dynasty, Kangxi reign
Tea-pot; oblong with rounded corners; cover, handle and short spout.
Inscription incised and two seals impressed on base.
Clay: fine, hard.
Glaze: thin tea-colored slip.
Decoration: a knotted napkin, modelled in relief.
