Mesopotomian, 12th-13th century
Raqqa
Ewer, inverted pear form. Spout, handle and lip broken; neck repaired; a hole in the side.
Clay: soft, buff-white.
Glaze: pale celadon green, rendered cream-colored and iridescent by partial disintegration.
Decoration: painted in brown lustre and cobalt blue, over glaze.
