Description:
Round cake dish with flattened ogival rim. Vine handle (broken in one place) attached through four holes in rim.
Clay: fine-grained, buff-colored stoneware.
Glaze: translucent, appearing grayish-fawn, tinged with pink, crackled.
Decoration: in white slip and iron brown pigment under glaze, blue, green, red and gold enamels.
Signatures:
Kenzan, in iron brown on rectangle of white slip, framed with iron brown, under clear glaze, on otherwise unglazed base.
