Description:
Melon-shaped incense burner. Pottery cover with bird finial.
Clay: earthenware
Glaze: Black Raku style. Reddish areas on shoulder and lid.
Decoration: incised in glaze, revealing paste reserve. Melon leaves and tendrils.
Signatures:
Kenzan, incised in glaze near base.
