Stoneware with white slip under clear glaze; gold lacquer repairs
H x Diam: 5.3 × 19.9 cm (2 1/16 × 7 13/16 in)
Kumamoto prefecture, Japan
Dish, low, round, or irregular contour, moulded with spiral corrugations. Repaired with gold lacquer.
Clay: hard, dense.
Glaze: rich, yellow-cream filling hollows or corrugations, over gray-blue; minutely crackled.
