Tea bowl, Gohon type (Gohon chawan). Foot, two steps retired. Gold lacquer repair. Two vertical slashes, one indentation in wall.
Clay: coarse, reddish-brown, flecks of white grog.
Glaze: thin, lustrous, clear glaze, closely flecked with black. Milky white glaze applied around rim, dripping irregularly down walls. Two horizontal stripes on white slip.
Mark: Asahi, without frame, impressed on inside of footrim to left.
