Abstract:
This field book is part of the animal research data of the Division of Zoological Research of the National Zoological Park (U. S.), which conducted research documenting the toque macaque of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The research was mostly performed by Research Associate Wolfgang P. J. Dittus, Director of the Smithsonian Primate Biology Program in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The present field book is inscribed as a "Notebook received from S. Waas, 27/1/72" and stamped as belonging to Wolfgang P. J. Dittus. It includes field notes "going West to East" dated from January 20 to 25, 1972, with lists of plants.
