Abstract:
This field book is part of the animal research data of the Division of Zoological Research of the National Zoological Park (U. S.), which conducted research documenting the toque macaque of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The research was mostly performed by Research Associate Wolfgang P. J. Dittus, Director of the Smithsonian Primate Biology Program in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The present field book contains copies of field data collected by W. P. J. Dittus in November and December 1970. The data document the behavior of the group of macaques called "troop A". They include some drawings. They are dated from November 17 to December 13, 1970.
