Abstract:
Field notes document the work of James Lynch relating to ant activity at the Chesapeake Bay Center for Environmental Studies (CBCES) in Maryland during June 8 - September 12, 1977. The entries are dated, headed with transect number, habitat, start and end time, weather, temperature of air and ground, followed by tables of data describing behavior relating to bait (sugar and tuna), as well as descriptions of work completed, and ant colony behavior observed. These observations sometimes include time of day.
