Abstract:
The catalog documents collecting of ectoparasites and Berlese samples during the Southern Island Cruise (SIC) 9 cruise, September 16 - October 29, 1965. Contains a two-page insert that lists Berlese nest samples organized by island name, followed by type of bird (common name) and quantity. The volume contains tables of data. The first lists information for Berlese samples: SIC number (1 to 143), host species, location (island name), date, and remarks. Remarks list additional information about location on or near host. Also contains a second table for ectoparasites listing no. (301 to 306), host species, location (island name), date, and remarks. Locations include islands: Howland, McKean, Phoenix [Rawaki], Baker, Motu Upua, and Enderbury.
