The box of slides documents the field work of William Osman relating to benthic marine life during 1979. Images show marine life growing on plates that have been submerged in areas along the coast of California. Slides have captions that include size (e.g. L), identifier (e.g. G4 2N), month and year (5-79), and unidentified information (52-34). Slides are divided into four columns and described on a sheet of paper lining the inside of the box lid. The columns are headed with A, C/D, E, and B, then divided to five rows containing description about size location of sheet film.
