Abstract:
The notebook documents the work of James Luhr in Mexico during March 17 - 24, 1985. First entry is titled Road to Mazcota. Entries include: specimen identifier (e.g. MAS-1), directions to the collection site, geological characteristics of gathered samples (type - e.g. lava/ash/pumice, inclusions, composites), description of terrain, notes on the photographs of pits and calderas, metric measurements. Last entry has a list of specimens. Locations include: Volcan Novillero, Mazcota, Malpaiz, Molcajete, Yerbabuena, V. Embocadero, Platanillo, Las Mazas, V.El Puerto.
