Abstract:
The notebook documents the fieldwork of Thomas Simkin in Ireland during 1969. The volume begins with a list of notes headed by location detailing historical geological/volcanic events; observations terrain, characteristics, and causes. Each list is approximately a page in length. Location headings include Naughton, Andrews, Frisch, Moorbath, Baragar, MacDougal, and Weedon. Midway through the volume, Simkin lists field observations, organized by stop number.
