Abstract:
The field data sheets document the field work of Pan-Stat for stations 1-128 for 16 April 1971 – 17 November 1972. Specimens collected were marine invertebrates. The data sheets have been tabbed to 6 sections: 1-48 for 16 April-3 May 1971, 49-74 for 2 Nov-15 Nov 1971, 75-78 15 Jan-17 Jan 1972, 79-81 18 Mar-20 Mar 1972, 82-104 12 Apr-29 Apr 1972, 105-128 1 Nov-17 Nov 1972. Most sheets include: date, time, sta. no., coll. by, lat., long., locality, ecol. Habitat, area samples, water temp., salinity, and general notes. General notes include information about types of fauna present, about specimens, including appearance and identifiers, habitat, collection conditions and personal notes. This document refers to accession number 292580 at Department of Invertebrate Zoology, National Museum of Natural History. Includes occasional inserts of maps and calendar of observations. Locations are in Panama. Work was completed by numerous collectors.
